Welcome to the Transportation Research Board’s Committee on Historic and Archaeological Preservation in Transportation (AME60)!

 

We are a group with members from public and private sectors, with expertise in state and federal environmental regulations and a focus on cultural and historic properties. We love hearing from people from around the country, sharing ideas, and learning from one another, and you do not have to be a member to participate. If you aren’t a member, though, and haven’t already registered as a friend of the committee, please join us!

 

Each summer, our committee hosts a mid-year meeting. We work together to select topics and discuss issues that are common across cultural resource professionals working on transportation projects. This will be our third year to host our mid-year meeting virtually, and we hope you will join us August 23-25, 2022 via Zoom. We hope you will join us!

 

Registration is free, and all sessions will run from approximately 1:00 to 4:30 p.m. Eastern time, and we’ll follow those sessions with some informal networking options. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.

Looking beyond this year’s mid-year meeting, we have lots of opportunities to help and participate:

 

• Early fall 2022: We’ll be soliciting session ideas and presenters for the 2023 TRB Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C. in January. If you’d like to volunteer to coordinate a poster session or lectern session, please contact us!
• January 8-12, 2023: TRB’s 102nd Annual Meeting, held in Washington, D.C. Come together with thousands of transportation professionals! Click here for more information.
• Spring 2023: We’ll be gearing up to hold an in-person mid-year meeting in summer 2023 in Oklahoma. For more information you can contact us or wait for more information to come out after the January meeting.
